Boomer Boost just got better! Boomer Boost, Now with Spirulina!
Here are 6 reasons why Spirulina is a perfect addition to Boomer Boost.
Extremely High Nutrient Value
Spirulina is a cyanobacteria or blue-green algae that grows in both fresh and salt water. It was first used centuries ago by the Aztecs as a food source and was noted for its ability to help endurance. More recently NASA successfully used spirulina as a dietary supplement for astronauts on space missions because of it’s extremely high nutrient value.

Powerful Antioxidant and Anti-Inflammatory Properties
We have talked about oxidative stress, free radicals and cytokines and the damage they cause to your DNA, cells and how they drive chronic inflammation and speed up aging.
Spirulina is packed with beneficial antioxidants that can help fight these free radicals and protect against oxidative damage. The main active antioxidant called phycocyanin provides impressive antioxidant & anti-inflammatory properties by eliminating free radicals and stopping the molecules that create inflammation.
Positive Cholesterol Management Benefits
Research indicates that spirulina is effective at lowering total cholesterol, LDL (bad) cholesterol and triglycerides while helping increase HDL (good) cholesterol. In addition, more information has recently been found that shows the antioxidants in spirulina help reduce the oxidation of fatty structures in the body helping to prevent the progression of disease.
Positive Blood Pressure Benefits
Nearly half of adults in the United States have hypertension or high blood pressure which can lead to heart attacks, stroke, kidney disease and more.
Spirulina’s beneficial effects on blood pressure are thought to stem from increased production of nitric oxide, which helps blood vessels relax and dilate.
May improve endurance and muscle strength
Activity and exercise also create oxidative damage which contributes to muscle fatigue. Foods derived from plants can help athletes and active individuals lessen this damage.
Ancient Aztec runners used spirulina for this purpose. Recent studies have helped confirm this ancient belief showing a significant increase in the time it took for individuals to become fatigued.
May Assist with Blood Sugar Control
A study of type 2 diabetics who took spirulina experienced a decrease in their HbA1c levels. Studies with animals have shown similar results. Spirulina’s ability to battle inflammation and free radicals is likely to help with this reduction which could significantly lower diabetes related deaths.

I’ve been taking Boomer Boost for several years, and my last order was very different in color and TASTE. I guess it’s due to the Spirulina, but I can hardly stomach it. Even with my nose held I get very nauseous trying to drink it. I’m so bummed!!
